Common use of Ratification by Parliament Clause in Contracts

Ratification by Parliament. (1) This Agreement, other than sub-clause (2), shall have no force or effect and shall not be binding on either party unless and until it is signed by both parties and is ratified by the Legislative Assembly of the Northern Territory of Australia, with the assent as provided by the Xxxxxxxx Xxxxxxxxx (Xxxx-Xxxxxxxxxx) Xxx 0000 of the Commonwealth. (2) The Minister shall take all necessary action to have submitted to the Legislative Assembly at the earliest practicable date a Xxxx for an Act to ratify this Agreement.
