Common use of Rating Clause in Contracts

Rating. 14. The State will ensure that notwithstanding the provisions of any Act or anything done or purported to be done under any Act the valuation of all land the subject of any Crown Grant, mineral lease or other lease, license or easement granted under or in pursuance of the principal agreement or of this Agreement (except any part thereof upon which a permanent residence is erected or which is occupied in connection with a permanent residence) shall for rating purposes be deemed to be the unimproved value thereof and no part of such land shall be subject to any discriminatory rate.
