Common use of REDUCTION IN RENT Clause in Contracts

REDUCTION IN RENT. Subject to this Licence the Licensee must not without the written consent of the Licensor by any act, matter or deed or by failure or omission impair, reduce or diminish directly or indirectly the Rent reserved or imposed by this Licence. However, if at any time during the Licence: (a) some natural disaster or other serious event occurs which is beyond the reasonable control of the Licensee; and (b) as a result of the damage caused by the natural disaster or other serious event, the Licensee is not able to use the Premises in a reasonable manner, the Licensee’s obligations to pay Rent will xxxxx to the extent proportional to the effect on the Licensee’s ability to occupy and use the Premises until the Premises are restored to a condition in which the Licensee is able to conduct the Licensee’s activities and/or occupy the Premises in a reasonable manner.
