REFLECTORIZED TAPE Clause Samples
The "Reflectorized Tape" clause requires the use of tape with reflective properties on certain materials, equipment, or surfaces to enhance their visibility, especially in low-light or nighttime conditions. Typically, this clause specifies where and how the tape should be applied, such as on construction barriers, vehicles, or safety apparel, and may outline standards for reflectivity or color. Its core practical function is to improve safety by making objects more noticeable, thereby reducing the risk of accidents or collisions in environments where visibility is critical.
REFLECTORIZED TAPE. Tape shall be 3” x 18” white strips and capable of reflecting white light only. Tape shall be applied vertically on the lamppost base facing direction of traffic flow or on shafts facing both directions of traffic flow, where post is within or on a Jersey barrier.
