Common use of Regulated Materials Clause in Contracts

Regulated Materials. The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has determined that a large number of normal ships operational or maintenance materials (including but not limited to paints, lubricants, solvents, detergents, etc.) may be hazardous. Unless specifically stated otherwise, the term "hazardous materials" or “regulated materials” as used in this Contract refers to any hazardous or toxic materials, hazardous or toxic substances, hazardous or toxic chemicals, hazardous, toxic or solid waste, or petroleum and petroleum products as defined in any applicable laws.)
