Relevant Individuals and Entities. At all times relevant to the Indictment, Defendant was a resident of The Woodlands, Texas, and was an employee of Company B, an energy company that engaged in, among other business, the trading of natural gas futures contracts. ▇▇▇ ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ (“▇▇▇▇▇▇▇”) was employed at MDW and later at Classic Energy. Defendant had known ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ for years before the beginning of the scheme. Though ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ was held out to be an employee at MDW and Classic Energy, in fact ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ served primarily as an intermediary through which ▇▇▇▇ could transfer proceeds to Defendant that were generated from Defendant’s trading with Classic Energy on behalf of Company B. ▇▇▇▇ ▇▇ ▇▇▇▇▇ (“▇▇▇▇▇”) was a natural gas trader at Percheron Capital LLC (“Percheron”) who brokered trades through Classic Energy with Company B as a counterparty. ▇▇▇▇▇ ▇▇▇▇▇▇ (“▇▇▇▇▇▇”) was a natural gas futures trader at Omerta Capital LLC (“Omerta Capital”) who brokered trades through Classic Energy with Company B as a counterparty. Person 3 was employed at Company B and was supervised by Defendant. Among other things, Person 3 placed trades at Defendant’s direction at various times. Relative 1 was one of Defendant’s family members living in Davenport, Florida. Relative 2 was one of Defendant’s family members living in Richmond, Virginia and later Houston, Texas. Relative 3 was one of Defendant’s family members living at various times in Houston, Texas.
