Common use of RELIANCE ON EMPLOYER Clause in Contracts

RELIANCE ON EMPLOYER. The Trustee and its agents shall rely upon any decision of the Employer, or of any person authorized by the Employer, purporting to be made pursuant to the terms of the Plan, and upon any information or statements submitted by the Employer or such person (including those relating to the entitlement of any Participant to benefits under the Plan), and shall not inquire as to the basis of any such decision or information or statements, and shall incur no obligation or liability for any action taken or omitted in reliance thereon. The Trustee and its agents shall be entitled to rely on the latest written instructions received from the Employer as to the person or persons authorized to act for the Employer hereunder, and to sign on behalf of the Employer any directions or instructions, until receipt from the Employer of written notice that such authority has been revoked.
