REPLACEMENT OF LOST PERSONAL PROPERTY. The Township agrees to compensate an employee for damages to, or the loss of personal property, in the performance of his duty, provided said notice of such damage or loss shall be given to the immediate shift supervisor during or immediately following the shift in which the damage or loss occurred. The liability of the Township shall be only for the actual cost to replace the damaged or lost items, provided the items can be demonstrated to be necessary to the performance of duties, as determined by the Chief of Police in consultation with the Township Administrator, subject to the grievance procedure.
