A requalification inspection clause establishes the requirement for periodic or follow-up inspections to ensure that equipment, facilities, or personnel continue to meet specified standards after initial approval. In practice, this clause may mandate scheduled inspections at set intervals or after certain events, such as repairs or modifications, to verify ongoing compliance. Its core function is to maintain safety, quality, or regulatory standards over time, thereby reducing the risk of non-compliance or failure due to degradation or changes.
Requalification inspection. The requalification of the products and processes by the supplier must be carried out annually to the extent of the initial sampling in accordance with the respective customer-specific requirements to IATF 16949 (see Annex 1). The requalification documents shall be made available to the Buyer within two working days upon request.
