Common use of Required Standard for Tenure Clause in Contracts

Required Standard for Tenure. (A) The required standard for the granting of a Third Appointment with Tenure to a faculty member is a high level of overall achievement in the faculty member’s responsibilities pursuant to Clause 13.01, achieving at least a good level in each of the three areas of responsibility: teaching, Professional and/or Scholarly Activity, and Service to the University. Overall achievement shall be determined by considering the faculty member’s record in these three areas of responsibility, balancing different levels of achievement in these areas.
