ORCID is responsible for hosting the ORCID Registry, the associated internal ORCID hardware (the “ORCID Hardware”) and the network connections from the ORCID Hardware to the Internet. Each Consortium Member is solely responsible for establishing and maintaining its own hardware (the “Member Hardware”) and the network connections from the Member Hardware to the Internet (the “Member Network”) as it deems necessary to provide its access to, and use of, the ORCID Registry and the Member APIs.
