RESEARCH AND PUBLICATIONS. The employer shall encourage employees to undertake research relevant to their expertise, experience and employment and to present the results of such research at appropriate scientific meetings and to publish papers and books. In addition to the right to use sabbatical leave, secondment leave or continuing medical education leave for research purposes, special leave and leave without pay may be used for such research activity.
