Reservoir Operations. This Section 5.B provides rules and procedures for the operation of Truckee River Reservoirs, ▇▇▇▇▇▇ Lake and Independence Lake in a manner consistent with the requirements of Section 205(a)(2) of the Settlement Act. The Administrator shall maintain current information describing each facility, its ownership and its operator.

Reservoir Operations. A. Consultant shall develop a simplified reservoir operations model and perform analyses to evaluate a Contractor’s ability to maintain construction diversion and protect construction activities within the reservoir. Risk and related design and operation requirements for construction diversion shall be identified and summarized in a Technical Memorandum that evaluates and addresses reservoir inflows from the watershed and the Almaden-▇▇▇▇▇▇ canal, reservoir operations, flow releases to Calero Creek, and management of inflows to the reservoir over the expected duration of construction.

Reservoir Operations. Reservoirs operated in the region are highly visible elements of the water supply and flood protection efforts, but also provide recreation, habitat, and other beneficial uses. Water data is required for day-to-day operation of these facilities to manage the water supply, provide flood protection, recreation, and habitat for the region. Examples of reservoir operations include scheduling reservoir releases based on flood-control criteria and water-storage priorities; setting reservoir releases to meet agricultural, municipal, and industrial demands; and maintaining reservoir releases to meet minimum flow requirements for fish and wildlife.

Reservoir Operations. Consultant shall prepare a Technical Memorandum that evaluates and addresses reservoir operations, flow releases to Calero Creek, and management of inflows to the reservoir over the expected duration of construction. This TM must establish clear baselines for inflows into the reservoir and requirements for design of temporary cofferdams, if required. This TM must further define schedule baselines for reservoir lowering to facilitate construction and for maintaining the existing intake in service, if required.

Reservoir Operations. Subject to the terms herein, Owners shall retain full authority and responsibility to operate the Eklutna Hydroelectric Project and manage and allocate water in Eklutna Lake in accordance with ADL 44944 and the requirements of the Eklutna Hydroelectric Project.
