Residence Hall Staff. To assist the resident with their adjustment to community living and receiving the maximum benefits from their college experience, professional and paraprofessional staff have been hired to live in each residence hall. Resident Directors (RDs) are professional staff members who work and live in the residence halls and are trained to respond to emergencies. Resident Assistants (RAs) are trained para- professional students who live in each building. The staff is available to assist, advise, guide and mentor residents. They organize programs and activities to assist residents with learning or enhancing life skills. Building programs include, but are not limited to topics related to social, physical, intellectual, communication and emotional needs, issues and concerns.
Residence Hall Staff. The University will provide Residence Hall Staff in accordance with University policy to support a living-learning experience that complements the academic program of the University.
Residence Hall Staff. Each hall is staffed with student personnel to assist with residential life concerns and community development. Community Advisors/Chapter Assistants (CA’s) serve as liaisons between the University and the student residents. CA’s facilitate communication through various methods of floor and hall meetings and provide stimulus for social and educational activities. Hall meetings will be held on an as-needed basis. The meetings provide an opportunity for residents to learn about campus activities and discuss matters relevant to campus life. These meetings take precedence over all other non- academic activities. Attendance in mandatory at hall meetings.
