Common use of Residents of Louisiana Clause in Contracts

Residents of Louisiana. If you are opening a joint account in Louisiana, you should be aware that Louisiana does not recognize certain types of joint account registrations. As a result, Fidelity will only establish a joint account when directed by you to do so and only when you direct Fidelity to establish such account as tenants in common. In connection with your direction to establish this type of joint account, each account owner expressly and irrevocably renounces the right to concur in the disposition or alienation of the account by the other account owner for the entire time the account is open, or the longest term allowed by applicable law. Wisconsin Marital Property Act: Married Wisconsin residents should be aware that no provision of any marital property agreement, unilateral agreement, or court decree under Wisconsin’s Marital Property Act will adversely affect a creditor’s interest unless, prior to the time credit is granted, the creditor is furnished a copy of, or given complete information about, that agreement or decree.
