Common use of Resiliation of the Lease Clause in Contracts

Resiliation of the Lease. In the case of an expropriation or of a taking of possession ("Expropriation") by a competent authority which, according to the Lessor, renders the Building or the Leased Premises unusable, the Lessor may terminate the Lease from the date of the Expropriation by way of a written notice to the Lessee. The Lessee may claim any damages from the expropriating party but not from the Lessor.
