Resistance to impact. The AECD shall remain operational after impact. This shall be demonstrated according to Xxxxx 9 and a verification of the MSD and HMI functionality according to paragraph 2. of Annex 11. 17.7.1. The following AECD components shall be tested according to Annex 9: (a) Control module; (b) Communication module excluding microphones and loudspeakers; (c) Back-up power supply (if fitted); (d) Connectors; 3 (e) Mobile network antenna. 17.7.2. If the applicant for approval so requests, the following AECD components may be tested to Annex 9: (a) Warning signal device; 3 Only connectors related to the parts listed in this paragraph. The length of the harness, and when applicable its fixation, can be decided by the applicant, in agreement with the Technical Service, so that it is representative for the different installation configurations of the AECD. (b) Hands-free audio equipment (microphones and loudspeakers); (c) Information signal device; (d) Power supply other than back-up power supply mentioned in paragraph 17.7.1.; (e) GNSS antenna; (f) GNSS receiver.
