Resolution of Employee Dismissal or Suspension Disputes. The following procedure shall be used for the resolution of disputes relating to the dismissal or suspension of an employee(s): Step 1 Within ten (10) calendar days of notice of the dismissal or suspension, the Employer shall notify the head office of the Union of such termination. Step 2 Within a further fourteen (14) calendar days of receipt of notice in Step 1 of this Article, the Union may institute the grievance procedure at Step 3 of Article 9.02. If this time limit is not complied with, then the grievance shall be considered as being abandoned, unless the parties have mutually agreed, in writing, to extend the time limits.
