Common use of Restrictions on Lessor Clause in Contracts

Restrictions on Lessor. Except to the extent that the Site may be subject to condemnation proceedings or other proceedings pursuant to which Lessor may be legally obligated to transfer an interest in the Site, Xxxxxx agrees that it will not mortgage, sell, encumber, assign, transfer or convey the Site or any portion thereof during the term of this Lease without Xxxxxx’s written authorization, which shall not be unreasonably withheld. Lessor is obligated to perform its obligations under this Lease only during the time that Lessor owns such interest or title in the Site. Lessor shall be relieved of its obligations under this Lease to be performed on or after the date of transfer if Lessor transfers its right in or title to the Site either with Xxxxxx’s authorization or in response to a court order.
