RETIREMENT COMPENSATION SEVERANCE PAY. A. A Nelsonville-York School system district certified employee, with five (5) years of service in the district, shall at the time of retirement or death be entitled to severance pay. "Retirement" shall be defined to mean actual retirement from the Ohio State Teachers' Retirement System and have officially applied and been approved by that system for retirement benefits.
