Common use of Return Path Technical Interface Clause in Contracts

Return Path Technical Interface. In addition to the Return Path Functionality allowance, a further allowance applies for CSTBs which include a broadband cable modem or broadband telecommunications modem. The value of this allowance is dependent on the broadband technology used (see table in Annex D, section D.3). No Technical Interface allowance applies to the lower power consuming return path technologies (e.g. Ethernet or Wi-Fi), which are assumed to be covered by the Return Path Functionality Allowance.
