Return to Work23. 5 Return to Work (a) Notwithstanding Articles 19.1 and 19.2 vacation entitlements and vacation pay shall continue to accrue while an employee is on maternity leave for the duration of the maternity leave, or while an employee is on twenty-six (26) weeks parental leave, providing the employee returns to work for a period of not less than twenty-six (26) weeks. (b) In the case of maternity leave, vacation earned pursuant to 23.5(a) may be carried over to the following year, notwithstanding Article 19.12. (c) Where Articles 23.1 and 23.2 are being used in combination, the combined vacation entitlements must not exceed a total of twenty-six (26) weeks.
