Rework or Plug Back Sample Clauses
The "Rework or Plug Back" clause defines the rights and obligations of parties regarding the modification, repair, or abandonment of a well. Typically, this clause outlines the procedures for undertaking additional work on a well, such as re-entering to improve production (rework) or sealing off a wellbore section to prevent resource loss or environmental harm (plug back). It specifies who can initiate such operations, how costs are shared, and the necessary approvals. The core function of this clause is to provide a clear framework for managing changes to well operations, thereby minimizing disputes and ensuring efficient resource management.
