Common use of Rights and Claims Preserved Clause in Contracts

Rights and Claims Preserved. Nothing in this Agreement prevents me from filing a charge with the United States Equal Employment Opportunity Commission ("EEOC") or from cooperating with the EEOC; however, I understand and agree that I shall not accept, and shall not be entitled to retain, any compensation or other relief recovered by the EEOC on my behalf as a result of such charge with respect to any matter covered by this Agreement. Nothing in this Agreement prevents me from filing a lawsuit challenging the validity of my waiver of federal age discrimination claims under the Age Discrimination in Employment Act and the Older Workers Benefit Protection Act.
