Common use of Rights of Participation Clause in Contracts

Rights of Participation. No reprisals of any kind shall be taken by any party against any other participant in the grievance procedure by reason of such participation. All parties in interest may be represented at all levels of the formal grievance procedure by a person of their own choosing. When an employee is not represented by the Association, the Association representative shall have the right to be present and to state their views at all stages of the procedure (except at Step 3 if the Board elects to go into executive session).
