Rights of the Learner. The learner has the right to:
2.1.1 receive an induction to the workplace based learning programme;
2.1.2 be educated and trained under the workplace based learning programme;
2.1.3 access to the required resources for all required curriculum components of the work-based learning programme;
2.1.4 be assessed internally as specified and have access to the assessment results of the workplace based learning programme;
2.1.5 have access to final external summative assessments as specified in the assessment specifications;
2.1.6 if successful, be awarded a certificate of competence, by the relevant body;
2.1.7 in the case of an unemployed learner, receive the agreed workplace based learning programme allowance for the duration of the learning programme; and
2.1.8 raise grievances in writing with the SETA concerning any shortcomings in the quality of the education and training under the workplace based learning programme.
Rights of the Learner. The learner has the right to:
2.1.1 Receive an induction to the learnership;
2.1.2 be educated and trained under the learnership;
2.1.3 Access to the required resources for the achievement of the specified outcomes for the structured learning component as well as the specified practical workplace experience activities of the learnership;
2.1.4 Be assessed and have access to the assessment results for the structured learning component as well as the specified practical workplace experience activities of the learnership;
2.1.5 Receive a written statement of results within 21 working days of the final assessment required in this learnership agreement;
2.1.6 If successful, be awarded a certificate of achievement for the qualification associated with the learnership within 45 working days of the learner’s final assessment;
2.1.7 In the case of a section 18(2) learner, receive the agreed learnership allowance for the duration of the learnership;
2.1.8 Raise grievances in writing with the SETA or the ETQA accredited for the qualification associated with the learnership concerning any shortcomings in the quality of the education and training under the learnership.

2.1.1 Receive an induction to the LEARNERSHIP/APPRENTICESHIP;
2.1.2 Be educated and trained under the LEARNERSHIP/APPRENTICESHIP;
2.1.3 Access to the required resources for the achievement of the specified outcomes for the structured learning component as well as the specified practical workplace experience activities of the LEARNERSHIP/APPRENTICESHIP;
2.1.4 Be assessed and have access to the assessment results for the structured learning component as well as the specified practical workplace experience activities of the LEARNERSHIP/APPRENTICESHIP;
2.1.5 Receive a written statement of results within 21 working days of the final assessment required in this LEARNERSHIP/APPRENTICESHIP agreement;
2.1.6 If successful, be awarded a certificate of achievement for the qualification associated with the LEARNERSHIP/APPRENTICESHIP within 45 working days of the learner’s final assessment;
2.1.7 In the case of a section 18 (2) learner, receive the agreed LEARNERSHIP/APPRENTICESHIP allowance for the duration of the LEARNERSHIP/APPRENTICESHIP;
2.1.8 Raise grievances in writing with the SETA or the ETQA accredited for the qualification associated with the LEARNERSHIP/APPRENTICESHIP concerning any shortcomings in the quality of the education and training under the LEARNERSHIP/APPRENTICESHIP.
Rights of the Learner. The learner has the right to:
7.1.1.1 Receive an orientation to the programme;
7.1.1.2 Be educated and trained within this IP learnership programme;
7.1.1.3 Access to the required resources (unless otherwise stipulated) for the achievement of the specified outcomes for the structured learning component as well as the specified practical workplace experience activities within each department where placed;
7.1.1.4 Be assessed and have access to the assessment results for the structured learning component as well as the specified practical workplace experience activities;
7.1.1.5 Be taught in a clean, safe, secure and orderly environment and in an atmosphere conducive to learning and free from interruptions;
7.1.1.6 Have their views heard and be able to express themselves, to ask questions, and be heard;
7.1.1.7 Be treated in a fair and dignified manner and in a disciplined environment in which punishment is fair and consistent;
7.1.1.8 Receive a written statement of results within 30 working days of the final assessment required in this agreement;
7.1.1.9 If successful, be awarded a certificate of achievement for the qualification associated with the programme, within 60 working days of the final assessment;
7.1.1.10 Raise grievances, in writing, with the Academic Head and the relevant SETA ETQA accrediting the qualification associated with the programme, concerning any shortcomings in the quality of the education and training under the programme.
Rights of the Learner. The Learner has the right to:
2.1.1 receive an induction to the workplace-based learning programme.
2.1.2 be educated and trained under the workplace-based learning programme.
2.1.3 have access to the required resources and equipment for all curriculum components of the work-based learning programme.
2.1.4 be assessed internally as specified and have access to the assessment results of the workplace-based learning programme.
2.1.5 have access to final external summative assessments as specified in the assessment specification.
2.1.6 be awarded a certificate and or statement of results, if declared competent by the relevant body.
2.1.7 be in a learnership learning programme and if unemployed at the beginning of the workplace-based learning, to receive the agreed workplace based learning programme allowance, as would have been agreed upon and gazette in the Government Gazette for National Minimum Wage- Schedule 2 for the duration of the learning programme. The learner allowance would increase on annual basis as would be determined by the National Minimum Wage Commission and published in the Government Gazette.
