RIGHTS UPON TERMINATION BY COUNTY FOR CAUSE Clause Samples

The "Rights Upon Termination by County for Cause" clause defines the entitlements and actions available to the county if it terminates a contract due to the other party's breach or failure to perform. Typically, this clause outlines the county's right to withhold further payments, demand the return of property or documents, and seek compensation for damages resulting from the breach. Its core function is to protect the county's interests by ensuring it has clear remedies and recourse if the contractor fails to meet contractual obligations, thereby minimizing potential losses and ensuring accountability.
