Royal Commission Clause Samples

A Royal Commission clause outlines the obligations and procedures that parties must follow if a Royal Commission or similar public inquiry is established and becomes relevant to the contract. Typically, this clause requires the parties to cooperate with the inquiry, provide necessary information, and comply with any legal or regulatory requests that arise as a result of the Commission’s proceedings. Its core practical function is to ensure that both parties are prepared to respond appropriately to official investigations, thereby minimizing legal risks and maintaining compliance with governmental processes.

Upon receiving such a request the Board will afford the member an opportunity to appear before it for the purpose of attempting to persuade it that such a recommendation is appropriate.
