S hift Differential Clause Samples

A Shift Differential clause establishes additional compensation for employees who work less desirable shifts, such as evenings, nights, or weekends. Typically, this clause specifies the percentage or flat rate added to the standard wage for hours worked during these periods, and may outline eligibility criteria or affected job classifications. Its core function is to incentivize employees to cover shifts outside regular business hours, thereby ensuring adequate staffing and addressing the challenge of filling less popular work times.
