Common use of Safeguard Clause Clause in Contracts

Safeguard Clause. 1. Unless otherwise provided by this Article, the provisions of Article XIX of the GATT 1994 and of the WTO Agreement on Safeguards shall apply between the Parties. The provisions of paragraphs 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8 and 9 of this Article shall apply only when a Party has a substantial interest as exporter of the product concerned, as defined in paragraph 10.
