Safeguarding Client Information. The Agency and the Contractor shall safeguard the use, publication and disclosure of information on all applicants for and all Clients who receive Services under this Contract with all applicable federal and state law concerning confidentiality and as may be further provided under the Contract.

Safeguarding Client Information. Neither Party shall use or disclose any information concerning a client of the services provided under this agreement for any purpose not directly connected with administration of such services, except upon written consent of the other Party and the client or, if he be a minor, his responsible parent or guardian. The provisions of Health General Article 20-103 to 20-107 supersede and control, where applicable.
Safeguarding Client Information. The Contractor shall safeguard all personal information about Clients, including computerized data, and shall use its best efforts to prevent unauthorized disclosure of such information, in accordance with all applicable federal and state laws, including C.G.S. section §36a-701b. Any Contractor considered a “covered entity” under the Health Insurance Portability Act of 1996 (HIPAA) agrees to follow HIPAA’s privacy regulations governing the use of protected health information. Notwithstanding any other provision to the contrary, the Contractor is solely responsible for any disclosure of information in violation of federal or state law by it or its employees.

Safeguarding Client Information. The CTDOL and the Contractor shall safeguard the use, publication and disclosure of information on all applicants for, and all Program Clients who receive, services under this Contract, pursuant to all applicable federal and state law concerning confidentiality and as may be further provided under the Contract The Contractor shall maintain the confidentiality of any information regarding applicants, participants or their families who apply for and/or participate in Programs funded under this Contract, which information may be obtained through application forms, interviews, tests, reports from public agencies or counselors or any other source(s), to the extent provided by law. Without permission of such applicant or participant, such information shall be divulged only as necessary: for purposes related to performance or evaluation of the Contract and to persons having responsibilities under the Contract including those furnishing services under subcontracts.
