Common use of Safekeeping and Holding of Property Clause in Contracts

Safekeeping and Holding of Property. The Custodian shall keep safely all property of the Fund and on behalf of the Fund shall from time to time receive delivery of Fund property for safekeeping. The Custodian shall hold, earmark and segregate on its books and records for the account of the Fund all property of the Fund, including all Custodied Assets of the Fund (1) physically held by the Custodian, (2) held by any Subcustodian or by any agent referred to in Paragraph K hereof, (3) held by or maintained in a Securities System, and (4) held by the Custodian or by any Subcustodian and maintained in any Approved Book-Entry System for Commercial Paper. The Custodian will treat the Fund as entitled to exercise the voting and other rights that comprise all such property.
