Such pay shall be in lieu of, and not in addition to, any other special assignment pay an employee may be entitled to under any other provisions of this ARTICLE. An employee assigned as an FTO may be removed from such assignment at the sole discretion of the Chief of Police. 16.4 An employee in any of the classifications in the Police Officer benchmark series who is assigned as a Canine Officer shall receive a two and one-half percent (2½%) pay differential. Such pay shall be in lieu of, and not in addition to, any other special assignment pay an employee may be entitled to under any other provisions of this ARTICLE. 16.5 An employee in any of the classifications in the Police Officer benchmark series who is assigned as a Flight Instructor shall receive a five percent (5%) pay differential. Such pay shall be additional to and not in lieu of, the two and one- half percent (2 1/2%) special assignment pay provided to employees under the provisions of Section 16.2. SALARY RELATIONSHIPS. 10.1 ANAHEIM and APMA agree that the wages for all classifications represented by APMA shall be based on the salary relationships listed below: Police Captain 1.15 x Police Lieutenant 10.2 Employees who possess a POST Management Certificate shall receive a five percent (5%) certification pay in addition to the employee’s base biweekly salary. 10.3 Employees who possess a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university shall receive two and one-half percent (2½%) in addition to the employee’s base biweekly salary. 10.4 Employees who possess a Master’s degree from an accredited college or university shall receive five percent (5%) in addition to the employee’s base biweekly salary. 10.4.1 The educational incentive pay for a Master’s degree is in lieu of, and not in addition to, the educational incentive pay for a Bachelor’s degree.
