Salary Supplement. Universities may pay a salary supplement to coaches for work related to offering summer camps. A salary supplement under this paragraph may not exceed $25,000 per summer.

Salary Supplement a) Salary supplement means a payment that augments the base appointment salary. b) Salary supplement is intended to recognise circumstances where an employee is required by ERLC to utilise additional specific skills. c) Any supplementary responsibilities or project work will remain within the scope of the employee’s substantive classification (banding). d) A salary supplement increases the base appointment salary for the purpose of calculating the maximum amount an employee may receive in additional compensation. e) When the role (e.g. Team Leader) or special assignment ends, the salary reverts to the base appointment salary. f) Salary Supplement is paid in all leave situations, except for leave without pay. g) Salary Supplement is paid at 50% of the hourly rate where the employee is on leave at half pay. h) Employees who are entitled to salary maintenance of 12 months under the 2017–2020 Agreement will continue to have that entitlement. i) The salary supplement will be dealt with separately from any incremental progression considerations. j) The salary supplement will not apply where the higher duties provisions are more appropriate or suitable.
