Common use of Sale subject to Charter Clause in Contracts

Sale subject to Charter. If the Ship is sold subject to the Charter (which expression means that the purchaser of the Ship or any other person chartering the Ship from the purchaser shall as from the date on which the Ship is registered in the name of the purchaser assume all future obligations and acquire all future rights and benefits under the Charter), the Owner and/or the Charterer shall enter into such form of agreement with the purchaser as the Mortgagee may require to the intent that such purchaser or other person shall be substituted in place of the Owner as owner or disponent owner of the Ship for the purposes of the Charter.
