Common use of Sales Tax Reallocation Clause in Contracts

Sales Tax Reallocation. The City agrees to use its diligent, reasonable and good faith efforts to support Owner’s efforts to apply for and obtain sales tax exemptions/refunds/abatements for items purchased during construction (Construction Sales Tax Exemption) that are normally available from the State of Vermont to qualified Vermont development projects such as the Project. Any reallocation of Project sales tax that is awarded by the State of Vermont shall be used by the Parties to pay for mutually agreed-upon expenditures that support the Project.
