Common use of Sanctions and Illicit Payments Clause in Contracts

Sanctions and Illicit Payments. No payments made or received by the Guarantor under the Loan Agreement or any Finance Document shall be funded directly or, to the knowledge of the Guarantor, indirectly out of funds of Illicit Origin or derived from any activity with a Prohibited Person or in a Prohibited Jurisdiction or which would otherwise cause any Party to be in breach of any Sanctions, and none of the sources of funds to be used by the Guarantor in connection with the Transaction Documents or the construction of the Ship or its business shall be of directly or, to the knowledge of the Guarantor, indirectly Illicit Origin or derived from any activity with a Prohibited Person or in a Prohibited Jurisdiction.
