School Concept. Peace Valley’s educational model is a compelling public choice, incorporating research-based strategies that improve and enhance student achievement, cognition, and social and emotional health. It provides an innovative and creative method for delivering Idaho Content Standards to students in the Treasure Valley. Peace Valley will be guided by the Core Principles of Public Waldorf Education, offering a rich curriculum that simultaneously addresses students’ academic, artistic and practical skills. Once the main lesson is finished, the school day continues with an arrangement of specialty subjects (visual and movement arts, music, gardening, handwork, woodwork, and foreign language classes), interspersed with practice classes for the continued refinement of math and language arts skills. School Concept. The School shall operate in a manner consistent with the concept and mission statement set forth in its application approved by the Sponsor (Attachment A). The School shall not change the concept, mission statement, or its general implementation of those guidelines without the prior approval of the Sponsor.
School Concept. The Academy is grounded in core beliefs about children, how they learn and the responsibilities of the adults who shape their development. It is based on a whole school approach (See Whole School Approach, Appendix M) designed to educate children to be capable and caring graduates ready for the next level of their education. Our school creates a setting focused on the development of knowledge and skills, as well as the development of attitudes and dispositions of children. What makes our school unique is the manner in which competent and caring professionals, accelerated instruction, and the school environment work together. The Academy is based on the Harbor School Method which integrates elements from five key areas: School Leadership, School Culture, Parental Involvement, Instructional Fidelity, and Student Learning. Community Need & Interest The Academy provides an alternate public-school education for 558 of the approximately 13,000 students in the Pocatello/Chubbuck area. Since opening in 2006, The Academy has operated at 99% full capacity and continues to maintain waiting lists following each annual lottery.

  • Vaccine Passports Pursuant to Texas Health and Safety Code, Section 161.0085(c), Contractor certifies that it does not require its customers to provide any documentation certifying the customer’s COVID-19 vaccination or post-transmission recovery on entry to, to gain access to, or to receive service from the Contractor’s business. Contractor acknowledges that such a vaccine or recovery requirement would make Contractor ineligible for a state-funded contract.

  • Disadvantaged Business Enterprise To the extent authorized by applicable federal laws, regulations, or requirements, the Recipient agrees to facilitate, and assures that each Third Party Participant will facilitate, participation by small business concerns owned and controlled by socially and economically disadvantaged individuals, also referred to as “Disadvantaged Business Enterprises” (DBEs), in the Underlying Agreement as follows:

  • DISADVANTAGED BUSINESS ENTERPRISE (DBE Local Agency will comply with all requirements of Exhibit G and Local Agency Contract Administration Checklist regarding DBE requirements for the Work, except that if Local Agency desires to use its own DBE program to implement and administer the DBE provisions of 49 C.F.R. Part 26 under this Agreement, it must submit a copy of its program’s requirements to the State for review and approval before the execution of this Agreement. If Local Agency uses any State- approved DBE program for this Agreement, Local Agency shall be solely responsible to defend that DBE program and its use of that program against all legal and other challenges or complaints, at its sole cost and expense. Such responsibility includes, without limitation, determinations concerning DBE eligibility requirements and certification, adequate legal and factual bases for DBE goals and good faith efforts. State approval (if provided) of Local Agency’s DBE program does not waive or modify the sole responsibility of Local Agency for use of its program.

  • DISADVANTAGED BUSINESS ENTERPRISES In connection with the performance of this Agreement, the Municipality/Sponsor shall cause its contractors to cooperate with the State in meeting its commitments and goals with regard to the utilization of Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBEs) and will use its best efforts to ensure that DBEs will have opportunity to compete for subcontract work under this Agreement. Also, in this connection the Municipality or Municipality/Sponsor shall cause its contractors to undertake such actions as may be necessary to comply with 49 CFR Part 26. As a sub-recipient under 49 CFR Part 26.13, the Municipality/Sponsor hereby makes the following assurance. The Municipality/Sponsor shall not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, or sex in the award and performance of any United States Department of Transportation (USDOT)-assisted contract or in the administration of its Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) program or the requirements of 49 CFR Part 26. The Municipality/Sponsor shall take all necessary and reasonable steps under 49 CFR Part 26 to ensure nondiscrimination in the award and administration of the United States Department of Transportation-assisted contracts. The New York State Department of Transportation’s DBE program, as required by 49 CFR Part 26 and as approved by the United States Department of Transportation, is incorporated by reference in this agreement. Implementation of this program is a legal obligation and failure to carry out its terms shall be treated as a violation of this agreement. Upon notification to the recipient of its failure to carry out its approved program, the USDOT may impose sanctions as provided for under part 26 and may, in appropriate cases, refer the matter for enforcement under 18 U.S.C. 1001 and/or the Program Fraud Civil Remedies Act of 1986 (31 U.S.C. 3801 et seq.).

  • Field Trips Orange COUNTY funds may not be used to support any overnight and/or out of Central Florida travel, unless approved by the COUNTY’S Manager of the CCC or designee in advance. The AGENCY must have on file for field trip(s) that each participant, adult or minor, must have a signed release of liability form releasing the COUNTY from any liability. If the participant is a minor, the release must be signed by a parent/guardian. Central Florida is defined as Orange, Osceola, Seminole, Brevard, Lake, Polk, and Volusia Counties.

  • School Year Sarasota Suncoast agrees that opening and closing dates of the school year and school holidays will coincide with other Sarasota County schools.
