Common use of Scope of Abandonment Obligation Clause in Contracts

Scope of Abandonment Obligation. Contractor shall, in accordance with the abandonment plan as referenced in Sub-article 29.9, on termination of the Contract or relinquishment of part of the Contract Area, except for those facilities and assets, which Staatsolie has notified Contractor should not be removed pursuant to the provisions of this Article 29: 29.1.1 remove from the Contract Area or part of the Contract Area or abandon in place, in accordance with good international petroleum industry practice, all xxxxx, facilities and assets used in the conduct of Petroleum Operations, including, without limitation, pipelines, equipment, production and treatment facilities, electrical facilities, landing fields, and telecommunication facilities; 29.1.2 perform all necessary Site Restoration and remediation.
