Search Requirements. 3.1 Staff may be subject to search at any time. Body searches will normally consist of a pat or rub down search or the use of metal detectors. Female members of Staff will only be searched by female officers. Strip searches will only be conducted on the personal authority of the Authority under the same rules and conditions applying to Prison Service staff.
