Section 12.2.3. Step Three Clause Samples

Section 12.2.3. Step Three outlines the third stage in a multi-step process, typically part of a dispute resolution or procedural framework within an agreement. This clause details the actions or requirements that must be fulfilled after the completion of the previous steps, such as escalating the matter to a higher authority, initiating formal proceedings, or engaging in a specific resolution method. Its core function is to provide a clear, structured progression for resolving issues, ensuring that parties follow a defined sequence and reducing ambiguity in how disputes or processes are managed.
Section 12.2.3. Step Three. 20 If no settlement has been reached within the ten (10) working days referred to in the preceding 21 subsection, and the Association believes the grievance to be valid, a written statement of 22 grievance shall be submitted within ten (10) working days to the District Superintendent or the 23 Superintendent's designee. After such submission, the parties will have ten (10) working days 24 from submission of the written statement of grievance to resolve it by indicating on the statement 25 of grievance the disposition. If an agreeable disposition is made, all parties to the grievance shall 26 sign it.
