Without in any way limiting the 43 generality of the foregoing, this will include rights in accordance with applicable laws and regulations 44 and the provisions of this Agreement to direct the work force, the right to hire, promote, retain, 45 transfer, and assign employees in positions; the right to suspend, discharge, demote or take other 46 disciplinary action against employees; and the right to release employees from duties because of lack 47 of work or for other legitimate reasons.
