Section 7 – Return to Work. At least two (2) weeks prior to the expiration of any unpaid 26 leave, the nurse must notify his/her department manager or the Human Resources 27 department in writing as to whether the nurse will return to work as scheduled. Any 28 request for extension must be filed at the same time. Extensions of medical leave 29 require substantiation by a healthcare provider’s statement and approval of the 30 appropriate department manager/director or designee. Failure to contact the 31 appropriate department manager/director or designee, or designee is grounds for 32 disciplinary action.

  • Return to Work (a) The parties recognize the duty of reasonable accommodation for individuals under the Human Rights Code of Ontario and agree that this Collective Agreement will be interpreted in such a way as to permit the Employer and the Union to discharge that duty. To that end, the Home and the Union agree to cooperate in complying with the Ontario Human Rights Code.

  • Return to Work Programs (a) The parties recognize that prevention of injuries and rehabilitation of injured employees are equally important goals. The parties further recognize that return to work programs are part of a continuum of injury prevention and rehabilitation.
