Section 8.9. Layoff. In the event of layoff, employees so affected are to be placed on a reemployment list maintained by the 3 District according to seniority. If employees are laid off as part of a reduction in force during the 4 regular school year, they will receive two weeks severance pay. Such employees are to have priority 5 in filling a vacancy for which they are qualified in the classification held immediately prior to layoff.
