Common use of Securities Redeemed or Purchased in Part Clause in Contracts

Securities Redeemed or Purchased in Part. Upon surrender of a Security of a series that is redeemed or purchased in part at a Place of Payment therefor (with, if the Issuer or the Trustee so requires, due endorsement by, or a written instrument of transfer in form satisfactory to the Issuer and the Trustee duly executed by, the Holder thereof or his attorney duly authorized in writing), the Issuer will issue and, upon receipt of an Authentication Order, the Trustee will authenticate for the Holder at the expense of the Issuer a new Security of the same series of any authorized denomination as requested by the Holder in an aggregate principal amount equal to and in exchange for the unredeemed or unpurchased portion of the principal of the Security so surrendered.
