Common use of Security Rule Clause in Contracts

Security Rule. 1. Contractor shall comply with the requirements of 45 CFR § 164.306 and establish and maintain appropriate Administrative, Physical and Technical Safeguards in accordance with 45 CFR § 164.308, § 164.310, § 164.312, and § 164.316 with respect to electronic PHI County discloses to Contractor or Contractor creates, receives, maintains, or transmits on behalf of County. Contractor shall follow generally accepted system security principles and the requirements of the HIPAA Security Rule pertaining to the security of electronic PHI.
