See Appendix A. Where the majority of an employee’s normal hours fall between the hours of 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., a shift differential is not applicable. Should the majority of the employee’s normal hours fall between the hours of 3 p.m. and 11 p.m., the second (2nd) shift differential shall apply. Should the majority of the employee’s normal hours fall between the hours of 11 p.m. and 7 a.m., the third (3rd) shift differential shall apply. An employee, whose regularly scheduled shift is five (5) consecutive workdays and always includes Saturday and Sunday, shall be paid the interrupted schedule shift differential. An employee may be temporarily transferred between shifts without changing status with respect to shift differential. Such temporary shift shall not exceed three (3) consecutive workweeks without adjustment to shift differential. Whenever possible, there shall be no permanent change of any employee’s shift without at least five (5) full working days prior knowledge.
See Appendix A. An employee request for indemnification shall be made promptly in writing to the Office of Senior Vice President and General Counsel. The financial loss for damage to a privately-owned vehicle used on Rutgers business is not reimbursable by the university. A supervisor may request that an employee use their personal vehicle for University business. The employee may decline such a request. The University must indicate in a job posting if use of a personal vehicle is required. Use of a personal vehicle for university business is eligible for reimbursement pursuant to University Policy 40.4.1.
See Appendix A. The Board reserves the right to name the carrier. The teacher is responsible to use leave days (CTO and sick days) to be paid through the first sixty (60) calendar days of the illness. If the employee does not have leave days to use, these days will be unpaid (docked). On the sixty-first (61st) day of illness the insurance program will start and continue payments, according to the specifications of the policy, providing the teacher provides a statement from the doctor stating the illness and that the employee is unable to perform his/her duties. The coverage and benefits of Appendix A will remain the same; the benefits are of the minimum allowed by the contract and only an increase of benefits will be accepted. All other procedures, definitions and requirements will not be changed or altered. All future policies cannot deviate from the specifications detailed in Appendix A. The carrier will be the sole decision of the Board providing the Federation has the guaranteed right to eliminate or refuse any carrier which does not meet all the specifications in Appendix A before Board adoption of the carrier.
