Selection and Placement. a) The Chief of Police shall establish the selection criteria and procedures for the Modified Hiring Process, which need not be the same as those established by Chapter 143 or those applicable to applicants for the position of Cadet in the Department’s regular Training Academy. Applicants who meet the selection criteria and procedures may be hired without being placed on an eligibility list.
