Common use of Selection and Retention of Architect for Assigned Project Clause in Contracts

Selection and Retention of Architect for Assigned Project. If the District has not selected and retained an Architect for an Assigned Project, as requested or directed by the District, the CM shall assist the District in: (i) development documents, and implementation of, procedures and processes for issuance of requests for proposals/qualifications to potential architectural services firms and their proposed Design Consultants; (ii) review and evaluations of proposals submitted in response to such requests; (iii) participate with the District in interviews of potential architectural services firms for an Assigned Project; and (iv) recommendations to the District for the selection of an Architect for an Assigned Project. As requested by the District, the CM shall assist in the negotiations of terms and conditions as well as preparation of the contract between the District and the Architect for an Assigned Project.
