Serious Misconduct means Sample Clauses
Serious Misconduct means. 1. Conduct that is serious misconduct includes both of the following:
a) wilful or deliberate behaviour by an employee that is inconsistent with the continuation of the contract of employment;
b) conduct that causes serious and imminent risk to:
i) the health or safety of a person; or
ii) the reputation, viability or profitability of the employer's business.
2. For subclause (a), conduct that is serious misconduct includes each of the following:
a) the employee, in the course of the employee's employment, engaging in: i) theft; or
ii) fraud; or
iii) assault;
iv) research misconduct;
b) the employee being intoxicated at work;
Serious Misconduct means. (a) serious misbehaviour of a kind which constitutes a serious impediment to the carrying out of a Staff Member’s duties or to a Staff Member’s colleagues carrying out their duties;
(b) conviction by a Court of competent jurisdiction of an offence of a kind that may be reasonably regarded as constituting a serious impediment to the discharge by the Staff Member of his or her functions or duties, or to the Staff Member’s colleagues carrying out their functions or duties; or
(c) repeated incidents of misconduct;
(d) serious dereliction of duties; and/or
(e) serious acts or omissions of Misconduct in Research.
Serious Misconduct means. (a) Misconduct which is so serious that it may warrant summary dismissal and may include but is not limited to, sexual harassment, assault, theft, fraud, misappropriation, deliberate or repeated disregard of health and safety standards, willful disobedience, deliberate or repeated misconduct, failure to disclose a conflict of interest, breach of the University’s policy against harassment, behaviour which leads to significant loss of trust and confidence, and deliberate or repeated breaches of University policies.
